This server has been up pretty much 24/7 since January 2005. There have
been a few hours interruptions here and there, but these interruptions
have been rare. We believe a balance needs to be struck between realism
and game play. This has been reflected in how we have modded the server.
The military is much tougher than in single player. They are more on par
with the best the Pirate factions have to offer (at least around the major
homeworlds). The modifications to the server do not require any client
side mods.
The only mods we allow on the server are: clan systems, a dromedary mod
that allows Dromes to equip up to class 10 shields, and the Gemini
Training System Mod.
Clan systems cost 10 million / month and MUST be manufactured by the
admin on this server. If you make your own system and send it to us, we
CANNOT use it. It will overwrite existing DLL files that other clan
systems use wihout regard for those systems.
The Dromedary mod is available for download or you can e-mail us
requesting the alteration.
Gemini -- This system has been laid out so you can try out various
tactics vs NPCs and not have to worry about your reputation. Ammo is
available at a central base. There are 8 tradelanes leading to 8 specific
types of NPC's to practice on.
Players that have not been active for more than 30 days get deleted
automatically. Players that have played less than 15 minutes get deleted
upon reset of the server. The server resets at least every 12-15 hours.

We also decided to add special Clan Abilities. I threw these in to keep
people on their toes and not get too complacent.
ie: Sabotage-- teleports someone to the nearest base and eliminates
everything in cargo. This ability costs 500K to use and may be exorcised
up to 4 times /week. It may not be used on the same character more than 1
time / 30 day period. Only the clan leader or 2nd in command may exorcise
this ability.
Sabotage-B-- The destruction of components of a ship... 2 weapons
destroyed OR shield reduced to class 1.
Embezzlement -- for every credit spent, the target will lose 2
credits... up to 2 million credits. As above.
Kidnapping -- a 24 hour ban.. or maybe sent to Toledo for 24 hours
(after being notified of what is going on) this is exorcised in the same
manner as above.
Incarceration -- (lawful players) -- as kidnapping
Rep Hack-- can turn one faction (other than than their own clan
affiliation) full red. Cost and limitations as above.
Teleport-- available to Lawful Clans only. Can teleport anywhere
withing Quad Space (4 houses) . This ability is 100K / use, may be
exorcised by anyone in the clan and has unlimited use.
S.M.E.F. -- Spontaneous Massive Existance Failure: This ability may
only be exorcised by the ADMIN. In the event of a ship\rep edit, this
condition is temporary and short. In the event you were caught modding
your ship or game in such a way that has not been authorized or have
broken a major rule ... this condition is permanent (also called a
BAN).
